Users who upload their own original video content on YouTube will soon receive a share of the revenue generated from ads displayed with their videos. The ads are likely to be placed as short – 3 second – or standard – 15 to 30 second – ads before the main video content.
AdSense ads are currently shown alongside videos on YouTube at present. However, this revenue is not currently shared with the original content producers. Revenue payouts to users are expected to start within the next few months.
