Nokia & Motorola Launch Navigations Services For Mobile Devices

Nokia and Motorola launched navigation services for mobile devices at the 3GSM conference in Barcelona. The services will compete with that offered by carriers. Motorola’s MotoNav software and Nokia’s Navigator applications can turns a simple Java handset or smart phone into a navigation device.
The handset manufacturers also introduced the new phones that will work with the application. Motorola’s T815 phone and MotoNav will be available in the second quarter of 2007. The Nokia 6110 Navigator was rolled out at 3GSM but is also expected to begin shipping only in the second quarter of 2007.
