FAST Search were the first search engine to offer mobile search capability, as far back as 2005. They are only now hitting the headlines in a big way, though, first with a new advertising platform that is supposed to empower publishers and now with a joint partnership with InfoSpace.
InfoSpace and FAST announced their partnership at the 3GSM conference. The partnerhsip will merge InfoSpace’s carrier relationships and content expertise with FAST’s search technology and PPC platform on mobile devices. The new white label services and platform will be offered to mobile operators in the U.S.A. and Europe. This combined offering will compete with the likes of JumpTap and Medio Systems, which are also offering similar services.
