    New logo looks far friendlier and makes you look more approachable. The old one looks like it would blow your boat out of the water if you were unlucky enough to sail into it!

    I prefer the top one, although the shadow is a little heavy, esp at the top.

    And is that a Google-alike font similar to Book Antiqua?

    Spot on Richard, it is a mildly-modified Book Antiqua font.

    They both look contemporary, but I feel that the changes are too subtle, think something more of a ‘major overhaul’ would have been better?

    I prefer the first one.
    The objective of a company’s logo is to strike people’s mind on the brand and I reckon this logo would be an unique & appropriate one.

    I would prefer to see a shadow on the non-text part of the logo consistant with the rest of it.
