BBC News Tops Yahoo! and Google

ComScore reported 17.3 million unique visitors to news sites in the UK during December 2006. BBC News topped the ranking with 7.8 million unique visitors. Yahoo News received 3.6 million unique visitors, bringing it in at #2, just 900,000 more than Google News.
In descending order, the Sun Online, Guardian.co.uk, MSN News AOL News and Times Online followed, with 1.9 million – 2.6 million visitors each.
Nielsen//NetRatings rankings for Online Current Events and Global News Destinations during December 2006 also ranked BBC News at the top, with 6.2 million unique visitors, followed by Yahoo News, Guardian Unlimited, Times Online, The Sun Online, Google News, MSN News & Weather and AOL News in descending order.
